“Chinese Homecoming Gathering” Prayer Letter 4  19.04.2010

Our dear family,

Shalom.

  1. Please pray for the Homecoming Gathering:

    1. Pray for the intercessors, that a watchful, intercessory spirit would fall on them, and that we would watch and pray, and not fall into temptation. (Matt 26:41)  ‘Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."  Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith” (1 Peter 5:5-9a)

    2. Pray that the Lord would let the congregation of the Homecoming focus on how great, true, merciful and just God is, agree and submit to the will that He is about to accomplish. (Psalm 149)

    3. Pray for the participants of the Homecoming. Pray that the Lord would draw our hearts to the throne, and that He would cleanse us and heal us, so we would all be united as one with love for one another, just as He loved us.

    4. Ask the Lord to bless and grant us mercy to embrace the great plan that He embraces.

    5. Pray that the Lord would move the participants so they would be able to follow their hearts, and be willing to give their financial offering sacrificially.

  2. Prayer items for the Hong Kong executive team:

    1. We need a large number of volunteers, about 100 people to serve for the whole day.  Pray that the church will participate and launch recruitment.

    2. Pray for the schedule of the gathering, especially for lunch and transportation arrangements. Pray that God would release the spirit of wisdom for prophetic preparation.

    3. Continue to pray for the working team (for details refer to prayer letter 1: “Praying for the preparatory work of the gathering”). Especially pray for the Chief Executive and the Project Manager of the Hong Kong Executive team, and also the leaders for the PA system, lighting and the stage operations.

  3. Pray for the worship team and the dance team:

    1. Pray that the Holy Spirit would fill and lead members of the worship team coming from different regions, united them and enter into the flow of the Spirit together.

    2. Pray that the Lord would give the worship team and dance team acquiescence, and the ability to overcome language barriers, so that they can worship the Lord freely.

    3. The dance team includes Canadians of French and Asian ethnicities, and will arrive in Hong Kong on Sunday (18/4) and on Monday (19/4). Pray that the Lord would bless them and restore their spirits, souls and bodies speedily, and that they can quickly adapt to the time difference and the food, and lead by the spirit to dance to the heart desire of God.

  4. Pray for the volunteers and the serving team:

    1. Pray that the Lord would help us understand that purpose of gathering and coming home to the Father is to satisfy the Father’s heart and to enjoy being together as a family. When we are with our family, we can relax, and there is no need to be nervous about our ministerial posts.

    2. Pray for the team that assists the flow of the gathering. Pray that God would prepare them in their body, soul and spirit, and prepare their relations, so they can submit to each other and be united in hearts. (Jer32:39)

"Chinese Homecoming Gathering" Prayer Letter 3 09.04.2010

Our dear family,

Shalom!  Below are prayers for intercessors:

During March 22nd to 24th, we got together in Hong Kong and inquired the Lord for the Chinese Homecoming Gathering.  In a vision, God gave one of our Taiwan family members a picture:  Many Chinese had gathered and “come home”, each bringing fine flour grounded from barley.  God gathered all the fine flour, added water to it and kneaded the flour into a lump of dough inseparable from one another. Then God baked the dough into bread.  At the end of the meeting, the Lord lifted up the bread, blessed it, gave thanks for it, broke it, and sent each piece to the nations.

  1. Pray that the Lord would arise, clothe with strength and manifest His strength again. (Isa 51:9)  Also ask God to awaken us, clothe us with strength and that we would put on garments of splendor, shake off the dust and sit enthroned.  Pray that God will cause us to see His deeds and respond to Him with action, rightful attitude, and standing in rightful positions. (Isa 52:1-2)

  2. Pray for participants of the gathering:

      1. Ask God to release true unity and pour out a supernatural love amongst the Chinese, including those in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, and the Chinese across the globe to become a “family”.
      2. Ask God to break every obstacles arising from differences in culture, nationality, experience, age and ministry models.

      3. The Lord has use of Chinese in this hour.  Cry out to the Lord that He would unleash all chains and bondages, so each family member would willingly lay down themselves and be used by the Lord. (Mt 21:3)

      4. Ask the Lord to stir His sons and daughters called to “come home” to prepare themselves.  Ask the Lord to renew each family member’s mind, so that each would no longer be “spectator” waiting for the speaker’s message. The Lord’s sons and daughters are to fast, pray and prepare ourselves, to await the Father to work with a watchful heart and with the fear of the Lord. (Mt11:7-9, Ex 19:10-11, Mt 22:11-12)

  3. Pray for the ministry team:

Pray for the servant team, the worship team and the dance team that will facilitate the “Homecoming Gathering” (includes family members from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Canada, etc.).  Pray that God would grace us with acquiescence, mutual trust and spiritual discernment.

  4. Pray for China:

      1. Pray that the Lord would release grace to heal the wounds amongst churches from different systems

      2. Pray for the sharing of the vision in various places in China. Pray that the Lord would release the spirit of wisdom and revelation to open up the hearts of pastoral leaders, so that they would understand the Father’s heart.

      3. Pray that the Lord would free the Chinese from the slavery mindset and its oppression, that they would enter into true freedom and become true sons and daughters of the Father.  Declare in the Spirit that they would be fully released into the Father’s embrace. (Ex 8:1)

      4. Cry out to God for signs and wonders to happen, and ask God to remove every obstacle that is blocking the family members to return home.  Ask the Lord to safeguard and clear all passages for travelling.  Especially pray that God would open the ways for leaders who are hindered by obstacles.

      5. Pray that the Lord would remove doubt and fear from believers’ mind, so that they would bravely enter into the supernatural realm in the Spirit.  Just like Peter did when he took a step forward and walked on water, shaking off the limitations of the natural man and entered into the supernatural spirit realm. (Mt14:29)

  5. Pray for Taiwan:

      1. Pray that the Lord would help the church of Taiwan to humbly wait before the throne in unity and let the Lord to lead them into an entirely new path.  Pray that the Lord would grant the Church a listening ear to understand the word of God, to walk in accordance to His will with a surrendered heart, and not in accordance to the will of man.

      2. Pray that the Lord would awaken the Church through the occurrence of earthquakes and floods, so that the church would seek and fear God.  Pray that the Lord would shake and tumble the strongholds of idols.

  6. Pray for Hong Kong:  for prayer requests regarding the venue, volunteers, expenses, etc., please refer to the prayer letter 1.

            1. Pray that God would awaken the church of Hong Kong to grasp the heart of Father God, and prepare the spiritual soil of Hong Kong for the “Homecoming Gathering”, so that Hong Kong would become a place to incubate new life, through which the Father can do His work.

            2. Pray that God would cause the Hong Kong church to commit to the destiny and identity that He has prepared for them, and call the Church to receive her family members from around the globe with love, humility and selflessness.

            3. Pray that the Lord would raise up a critical mass that is willing to respond to the Father’s call to “come home”, so that the Hong Kong church at large would be blessed. Pray that they would understand the Father’s heart and experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

            4. Pray that the Lord would keep the Hong Kong ministry team commit to one another, and that the team would experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

  7. Pray for other overseas regions:

    1. Singapore: on April 5th, representatives from the servant team shared the “Homecoming” vision there.  In the following two weeks, pray for the invitations and vision sharing of English speaking and Chinese speaking churches, and that God would touch more and more hearts of the pastors.

    2. Pray that God would spread news to the continents and regions all over the world.

“Chinese Homecoming Gathering” Prayer Letter 2  2010.03.16

A. Pray for the sharing of vision for the Gathering:

  1. Ask God to release the Father’s love, so that His sons and daughters can feel the Father’s heart longing and waiting for the children to come home together. The purpose of “homecoming” is not to satisfy our own hearts, but to satisfy the Father’s. (Malachi 4:5-6)

  2. Ask God to let us understand our honorable identity as a queen, for the King is already seated on the throne in His temple, waiting for us. We need to step forward in faith and touch the golden scepter He has extended to us. (Esther 5:1-2)

  3. Ask God to give us a submissive and pure heart, and prepare us to meet the Father, and the Father only, without other motives. (Mark 9:39-41)

  4. Ask the Lord to release a spirit of revelation so we can understand that this is a kairos moment for Chinese to enter into their destiny, and that our submission and willingness will consummate in the nations entering into their destinies.

  5. Pray that the channels for vision sharing will be opened, and that God would send His messengers to make way, so that God’s people would hear the sound of the trumpet and respond to the call to come home.

  6. Ask God to release a spirit of unity, and break every walls and strongholds in the mind (e.g. lies), and that God would release in us a humble and gentle heart as we walk together as a family.

  7. Pray for faith for miracles, so we would not hesitate to open the door.  (Acts 2:29-32)

B. Pray for the Church of Hong Kong:

  1. Ask God to awaken the Church in Hong Kong to join hands with all tribes and nations in the ‘Homecoming’, and stir up the hearts of Hong Kong Church, so she would not be pre-occupied with her own things and miss the destiny of Hong Kong to become a spiritual bridge for the body of Christ to walk on.

  2. Pray that God would give Hong Kong Church a kingdom heart to receive and embrace the nations with the Father’s love.

C. Pray for the Gathering’s preparation work:

  1. Pray that the Lord would release all resources needed for this gathering, including people, expenses and materials. Pray that the Lord would help us understand the importance of sowing and reaping, and touch the hearts of people to give to the Lord.

  2. Pray for unity and wisdom among the administrative leaders and volunteers. Pray that the Lord would give us faith and protection, and that we would look to the Lord as the author and finisher.

“Chinese Homecoming Gathering” Prayer Letter 1  2010.03.01

Dear family,

Peace is unto you! Praise the Lord! In the past few months, the Executive Group of the Chinese Homecoming has started their active preparation for the global gathering in May 2010. The primary Working Groups are as follows::

Executive Group Translation
Administration (registration, general services & accounting) Venue, security, ushers & VIP hosting
Worship & dance Decorations

Sound & video

The whole process of preparing for this gathering has been a journey of walking with the Lord. We desire that every single decision made will be the fruit of listening to God’s voice and in alignment with the principles of the Kingdom. May the spirit of joy fill everyone who will take part in serving! The following are major directions and focus for prayer:

A. Pray for the sharing of vision for the Gathering:

  3. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to all those who will browse the ‘Homecoming’ website, that the Father would shine the light upon their hearts and minds, that they would receive a calling to ‘come home’. (Ephesians 1:18)

  4. Ask God to reveal to the Chinese the role that we play in God’s End-time purposes. (Ephesians 1:19-22)

B. Pray for the Church of Hong Kong in entering into this kairos moment:

  1. Cry out for the Hong Kong Church to enter into her destiny of unity, that God would ‘strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that the gates [of unity] will not be shut’ (Isaiah 45:1-4) and all strongholds to be broken; pray for the ancient religious authorities of our land to fall (On 30th Jan 2010, an old building collapsed in Hong Kong); pray for the Church to repent on building upon wrong foundations; ask God to ‘uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant’ (Jeremiah 1:10).

  2. God has chosen the city of Hong Kong as a gathering point; we ask the Lord to stir up the hearts of the Hong Kong Church and give us great urgency, so that the Church will fear God, are sensitive to God, hear God’s heart and respond accordingly. (Isaiah 66:1-2)

  3. Ask that God would cause the Hong Kong Church to prepare oil in our lamps as the five wise virgins, to watch and pray so as not to miss the time of the move of the Spirit, that we would not miss the time when the Bridegroom comes. (Matthew 25:5)

  4. Ask God to change the Hong Kong Church to see the value and the importance of being a member of His family, so that we would be willing to pay a price for the May ‘Homecoming’! Ask
God to help us grasp the chance to respond, even to the point of opening our homes literally to host our Chinese family members!

C. Pray for the Gathering’s preparation work:

  1. Ask that God would align the family members of the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the overseas in walking together through sharing vision, as deep calls out to deep.

  2. Pray for the Hong Kong Executive Group: Pastor Eddie Ma, Pastor Lydia Wong, Pastor Joshua Cheung, Pastor John Lau, Mr. Andrew Ho, and Miss Sherri Chan. Ask God to bless each one’s leadership with the spirit of wisdom and revelation, to heighten their discernment and sensitivity to the heart of God so that they could assign work in the wisdom and the leading of the Holy Spirit! Ask God to protect their families! (Ephesians 1:17-19)

  3. Pray for the Working Group leaders; ask for adequate wisdom, spiritual strength, and physical strength! (Isaiah 11:2)

    a. Administration (registrations, general services, accounting): Pray for them to accomplish great and unsearchable things through the Lord. (Jeremiah 33:3-4)

    b. Prayer: Ask God to refine the mouths and tongues of His intercessors so they would pray in the Spirit; ask God to grant prayer strategies in uniting intercessors from different nations; ask God to bring breakthrough in the spirit realm and shift the realms of oppression so that the global Chinese would be led into their destiny. (Isaiah 6:6)

    c. Worship & dance: Ask God to choose and gather the worship and dance teams in unity of heart; ask God to give prophetic worship and prophetic dance in building the throne of God through the Spirit’s leadership, so that all could experience the manifest presence of God and surrender under His divine will.

    d. Volunteer recruitment: Pray for the recruitment of volunteers and especially the hosting units and families; ask God to prepare them all. (Psalm 110:3)

  4. Pray for the smooth functioning of facilities and human resources of the venue, Asia World Expo; pray for the C.E.O., our brother Allen Ha, and his family; ask that God would set them apart to surrender under the power and the sovereignty of the Holy Spirit in the work of God and receive wisdom, insight and strength.
